Client
Cleantech Friendship Group is an informal grouping of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) who work together to promote EU climate policies.
Objectives
The objective for this project was to create a landing page showcasing a new generation of MEPs, from various political groups, ready to put their differences aside to work together towards a common goal. The challenge was in “decorporating” a parliamentary website.

Solutions

We created a straightforward landing page showcasing MEPs’ profiles and their respective political positions in simple and intelligible quotes that are accessible to all.

Because it was important to emphasise the novelty of the initiative and differentiate these new-wave MEPs from traditional ones, we stylised their portraits with hand-drawn, posterised illustrations for a younger, friendlier feel. Their harmonised profiles creates a sense of unity and addresses a younger audience.

We assigned each of the 4 political groups a color and each person a unique background shape.

We used a clean, modern, formal yet friendly typeface for accessibility. Big and bold titles for statement, light body for balance.

Scroll-triggered interactions such as parallax and rotating elements bring dynamism and fluidity in the discovery of each profile.

Overall, the website presents the MEPs and their positions in a political harmony that is emphasized by their consistently stylised profiles and in an excitement created by dynamic animations.
